Isaiah Rashad Memphis Concert reviews
First-timer for Jimmy Buffett
"I sat up high in the upper section of the Honda Center (Orange County), but being that I had purchased these tickets six months earlier, I knew what to expect. The sound, surprisingly clear and balanced (so kudos to the audio crew), was predictably entertaining. Isaiah Rashad has a real rapport with the audience, and I was amazed watching as many of his fans seem to have seen him multiple times over the years, enamored over and over again. The main arena floor folks stood the entire concert, actually making me glad I had a warm seat from way up high. As more of an outsider, I had to judge strictly based off of the recordings that I knew and, of course, his showmanship. The Coral Reef band is quite outstanding, but nothing really stood out "over the top". Some minor percussion and steel drum solos, some change of stage lighting and motif, but overall it was your basic arena stage with Isaiah relying on his compositions, those of others (too) as well as the quality of his band. Would I see him again - yes, likely. Then again, not sure when he might visit these parts again. I would recommend and happy that I got to see him live at least once. Don't live in regret, go see him if you have the chance. I do not think you'll be disappointed."
